Booth pictures East Coast Arms Show

Here are a few picture of our booth at the East Coast Fine Arms Show from Saturday. Steve and I had a great time and made many new friends, sold a few folks on membership. Tom Wyraz had #35 at his booth for sale, it was the first time I have seen the gun, really cool. Attendance seemed good in the morning but slow as the day wore on. Not as many dealer participating this year. One 16 ga ejector Sterly walked in, and sold to a member standing at the booth (not Steve or I). Steve was really affected by the chilling cold, he actually paid real cash money for a very nice Parker Trap gun :D

Good meeting you, and hooking up tith toolman again. Nice guns you had on display.
Steve started my mind churning about a target 12 project(as if I need another), and I remembered my grandmoter still has my g-dads old A. I'll have to scoff that for the platform.
He also has me retinking my " makeover" ideas on teh other 3 :( , but with the money I save on those, I'll be able to a really intresting job on the other one.

Steve's idea to get a big spring clays shoot together sounds like a winner. Hope it happens. If you guys need help, have steve give me a call.

thanks again for the site, and your efforts at the booth

Good God....between Larter's new moustache and my frostbitten face, that looks like a cover shot for
"Metrosexuals Monthly" .....LOL.

As one might expect, both vendor and public attendance were off substantially, at this past weekend's, East Coast Fine Arms Show.
I bumped into Tony Galazan, early on Sunday and he mentioned the same held true, at the major show (Safari??) in Dallas.I can tell you, in my business ( hardware industry) we are experiencing the same type of negative returns with all of our major trade shows/marketing events. It's a pervasive problem but the good firms (AHFCA included) tighten their belts, stay the course and most importantly, keep swinging the bat.

With a premium booth location ( PGCA and AHFCA straddled the main entrance) we held our own, signing up five new members, including a very talented engraver, an avid waterfowler who had just returned from a morning hunt with his favorite Super Fox....and one very distinguished member of the PGCA. In additon, we had one renewal and four vendors who want to place ads in the Spring newsletter. Not bad. Not bad at all.

It was pleasing to hear all the compliments about our display, our group and Fox guns in general. The collecting community
is taking notice and are tickled to death, that The Finest Gun in The World is finally receiving centerstage placement.

I'm hoping that in a year from now, we will all be enjoying a slight updraft in the
domestic economy and that both the Fox and Parker groups can return to this premiere, New England event.

....and oh, regarding that Parker trap gun..........I'll plead the Fifth............TOOL
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....
